For your kind consideration is this gorgeous vintage Ludwig 5×14 Jazz Festival snare drum in Red Sparkle from the early 70s. This 3-ply, clear interior beauty is all original aside from a fresh Ludwig batter head. The original P-83 strainer and muffler are in great shape and both operate smoothly and the original wires sound great. The Red Sparkle wrap is in beautiful, well taken care of condition. All of the chrome is in great condition with only a very light signs of pitting on the lugs. The bearing edges are true and original, and the drum tunes up easily and sounds magnificent. The pointy Blue & Olive badge is tight with some scuffs. There are no extra holes or modifications of any kind. The batter reinforcement ring has some factory wood filler and there is a small knot in the wood that was also covered at the factory as shown in the last photo. This one is an absolute joy to play and would be a proud addition to any vintage collection. Enjoy!
