Part of the Inspired by Gibson Collection, the Epiphone SG Standard features a contoured, double-cutaway mahogany body that provides unimpeded access to all 22 frets. The glued-in mahogany neck contributes to the model’s renowned sustain and has a fast-playing SlimTaper C profile. The bound laurel fretboard is equipped with 22 medium jumbo frets and pearloid trapezoid inlays, with a 12-inch radius that makes first-position chords easy while ensuring string bends don’t fret out. The guitar is equipped with ProBucker humbucking pickups – a ProBucker 2 in the neck position and a slightly hotter ProBucker 3 in the bridge position. Each pickup has individual volume and tone controls, along with a three-way toggle pickup selector switch.
