Our General Series Timpani Mallets are made using 1/2″ straight white hickory shafts and wooden cores. This combination provides the warmest possible sound out of the drums. The straight shafts help with projection both indoors and outdoors. The mallets are then wrapped in the highest quality German and polyester felt available in a parachute style, meaning you never have to worry about avoiding a seam.
